The General Office for Land Management and Development (DGODT) of the Dominican Republic along with ITEC S.A.S and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) developed this project in order to carry out an evaluation of the catastrophic risk profile of the country, including risks from earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes (wind, storm surge, rain), floods and landslides. To achieve this objective, hazard modeling, survey and analysis of exposure information, vulnerability analysis, and a comprehensive risk assessment were carried out. Finally, strategies to complete missing information and financial protection recommendations at a country level were proposed.
