CAPRA-HURRICANES is the CAPRA module for hurricane hazard assessment. It computes the effect of hurricanes over rainfall, wind fields, and surges, by generating synthetic events from historical information, also required for defining their trajectories. On one hand, hurricane rainfall is evaluated after the occurrence of the synthetic event, considering climate change effects. Wind hazard, on the other hand, is assessed using a parametric model based in gusts in the wind field. Finally, surge hazard is appraised through the integration of different methodologies and the definition of several grids in the coasts. A variety of simulations can be done in this software, which result in an *.AME file that contains the main results of each type of hazard for the set of synthetic events.
